Pinnacle Engineering was retained by an aggregate mining company to complete permitting and environmental review for the construction of a granite quarry.  When complete, the facility would include commercial and industrial process areas, office space, a maintenance facility, stockpiles, water retention basins, a gravel washing area, and an extraction quarry.

Pinnacle prepared an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW), which included compilation and analysis of information, preparation of the EAW document, submittal of the EAW for public review and comment, meeting with public and government agencies, addressing comments, modification of all documentation to final form, and distribution of final EAW documents.  As part of the EAW process, Pinnacle also completed a wetland delineation and permitting, threatened and endangered species study, and hydrological analysis of the property.  Pinnacle responded to governmental and private parties’ comments, alleviating regulator concerns and assuring that an Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed quarry was not required.  The result was a complete EAW with regulator input and local support for the mining operations, finalized in a timely manner and without delaying the project.
