Custom Compliance

For over 26 years, Pinnacle Engineering has provided a wide range of environmental support services to a wide variety of clients through the use of its Custom Compliance Services (CCS) Package. The CCS was developed to cater to the various and differing needs of each of Pinnacle’s clients. Some clients prefer full servicing of all environmental projects while others may have experience with, and in-house expertise, to take care of several of their projects with their own staff. The CCS allows facilities to pick and choose the size and breadth of support they desire and can be updated or changed over time as needed.

Compliance Assessment

The compliance assessment is an evaluation of your current, and to a limited degree, your past environmental program.  The compliance assessment will take approximately two days and will include a review of only the following items:

  • Permit Status
  • Tank Registration
  • Community Right-To-know Reporting
  • PCB Issues
  • RCRA Training/ Contingency Planning
  • Notification of Hazardous Waste Generation
  • Previous Regulatory Agency Compliance Issues
  • Housekeeping
  • Storage and Labeling Issues
  • Inspection Logs
  • Waste Disposal Practices and Record Keeping
  • Pollution Prevention Planning

*A 30, 60, 90, and 180 day follow up will be conducted through phone calls to the environmental coordinator.  These follow up calls will be used to track progress with the compliance schedule.  Subsequent regulatory reviews that identify other areas of concern will be communicated to the facility via telephone conversations. A letter with the results of this follow up work will be forwarded to the environmental coordinator and company management.

Compliance Walk Through

A compliance walk through is used to identify and correct areas of noncompliance that historically have been ongoing problems for manufacturing facilities.  The walk through will include a review of the current status for the following items:

  • Upcoming Reporting Requirements
  • Status of Previously Identified Compliance Issues
  • Review of Current Permit Compliance
  • Review of Record Keeping Procedures
  • Upcoming Regulatory Changes
  • Plant Management Updates

The emphasis during the compliance walk-throughs will be to identify problems, conduct impromptu training in the area involved on how to maintain compliance, and document both the noncompliance and the training.  Documentation will involve the use of checklists and handwritten comments.
