TITLE: Senior Civil Engineer

This position represents the opportunity to work with a progressive, family owned environmental engineering firm in its 27th year of successful projects for our clients. Pinnacle is currently seeking a registered Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to work in our Minneapolis office. This position will serve a variety of commercial, industrial, environmental and Class 1 railroad clientele. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of all aspects associated with civil engineering including project management, budgeting, scheduling, direct supervision and technical direction of engineering staff, and business development for the Civil Engineering group.
-Work on design projects and preliminary studies including leading the efforts for proposals/work orders, planning, studies, budgeting, client relations, financial and technical management, coordination of multi-discipline engineering efforts, contractor/supplier quality control, quality assurance, subcontract management and contract administration
-Act as a key client contact and foster relationship building for future and current clients
-Provide client management and project management for large and small clients, including marketing and business development; collaborate with staff members in other disciplines to provide creative, integrated and innovative solutions to Pinnacle clients
-Understands and designs stormwater related strategies such as planning and designing stormwater and hydraulic design elements including flow control treatmentm, road & site drainage, sustainable design, and advanced hydrologic/hydraulic modeling for stormwater design
-Prepare stormwater permit applications and coordiante with regulatory agencies
-Provide oversite of HydroCAD analysis, CAD Civil 3D performance, and implementation of CAD standards
-Provide coordination with Corporate Team partners and subconsultants balancing a range of different priorities on multiple projects, such as schedules, cash flow issues, projections and estimates, and keeping the momentum going as the project moves from one phase to another.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certified or able to obtain certification within one year
- One to three years of experience working on construction or environmental sites
- AutoCAD Civil 3D production capabilities
-Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel. HydroCAD; HEC-RAS knowledge is a plus
