ACCOUNTING/ PROJECT COORDINATOR

TITLE: Accounting Coordinator
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN Office (Corporate)

Pinnacle Engineering is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Accounting/Project Coordinator who excels at multitasking to join our headquarter office in Maple Grove.  Primary responsibilities include client billings, collaboration with Project Managers, Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable.  The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.  You should be ethical, thorough and attentive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to Project Managers regarding new project set-up, client invoicing, and client management through the life cycle of projects.

  • Prepare client invoices and submit to clients.

  • Distribute project reports monthly to Project Managers.

  • Timesheet management and communications as necessary.

  • Generate and review Accounts Receivable reports; follow-up with clients and/or Project Managers regarding collections.

  • Research and resolve client payments and discrepancies.

  • Respond to and manage requests for Certification of Liability Insurance.

  • Provide administrative assistance for team meetings.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivables as needed.

  • Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree preferred; not required

  • 5 – 7 years’ related experience and/or training required

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. 

  • Versatility, flexibility, and the ability to manage changing priorities and workflow with minimal supervision and enthusiasm is a must.

  • Knowledge of Deltek Ajera software (or similar accounting software) is a plus, but not required.

  • Must be flexible as some overtime may be required.

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
